14" X 18" X 1" MERV 11 Pleated Filter *Listed filter size is nominal. Actual filter size is up to ½" less on all dimensions. Better filtration is the first step in improving Indoor Air Quality. Pleated Panel Filters outperform ordinary furnace filters with higher efficiency and lower pressure drop allowing air-handling systems to stay cleaner and operate more efficiently. We achieve this with 100% synthetic electrostatically charged gradient density media, optimum pleat spacing and high initial and sustained efficiency, high dust holding capacity and very low pressure drop. The media is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, does not absorb moisture and will not support microbial growth Benefits: -Catches and holds more pollen, dust, dirt, etc. than standard pads or panel type HVAC filters creating a healthier IAQ (Indoor Air Quality)environment. -Medium efficiency filtration protects expensive HVAC equipment from the effect of dirty air and significantly reduces costly building maintenance. -Extends life of more expensive secondary filters (RIGID, CELLS, HEPAS, BAGS, etc.) -Can last up to four times the life of standard pads or panel type filters thereby drastically reduces material and maintenance and labor costs. Specifications: -Air filters are pleated media type. -The filter media consists of 100% synthetic electrostatically charged thermally bonded fibers with no chemical binders. -The media is continuously bonded to a 30 guage galvanized, corrosion resistant, expanded metal support grid with an effective open areaof 96%. -The media is pleated to maximize surface area and dust holding and minimize airflow resistance. -The enclosure frames are constructed of high wet strength, moisture resistant beverage board. -Diagonal support members of the frame are bonded to the air entering and exit apexes of each pleat to prevent pleat collapse and filter bowling. -The inside periphery of the enclosing frame is completely bonded to the outer edges of the filter media to prevent bypass. -The air filters are listed and rated by Underwriters Laboratory as UL class 2 and have a maximum teperature rating of 180 degrees Farenheit. When I moved into this apartment, the filters provided made me think of the fiberglass we used to hang on Christmas trees - they'd stop leaves and moths maybe but nothing much smaller! Everyday I was waking up with industrial construction sites in my eyes - not any more!
The apartment even stays visibly cleaner - I'm glad I bought the multi-pack!

My apartment AC needed a no standard size filter. I was a bit upset about that because apartments always provide the lowest quality filter to renters. I hated that I didn't have the choice to buy a better filter. Little did I know, I DID have a choice and Filter-Outlet made that choice possible. They provide the non standard size and the filter quality is great. I have a dog and really appreciate that it catches more than just the hair. I love also that my filters are shipped to me and I don't have to worry about buying one every month. I just stock up.

I just moved into a new condo building and #1 couldn't find any filters anywhere in the city that were the right size, 14x18. #2 as with any new construction there was a ton of stuff in the HVAC system and it seemed like i had to dust the floor and surfaces every other day. With my new filter it's capturing all that dust and fits perfectly.

My husband is a double lung transplant patient and these filters really do pull so much out of the air that is bad for his new lungs. I never realized the difference a filter could make. These are MUCH better quality air filters than I got with a big brand name company. The yucky filters were the interwoven loose fibers. These are tight knitted and catch -way- more particles. I cannot find this size of filter anywhere but online. I will stick with Quality Filters!

I required a non-standard filter size for my condo HVAC system and was able to purchase the size I needed in the filtration level I needed.

I was disappointed that the air flow direction arrows were not on the edge of the filter. For those of us who are not experts at which way the filter is to go in this would help. Or at least a short instruction sheet that indicates orientation of the pleated side with respect to the air flow.
