This prodcut replaces the washable filter that came with our unit. If I had known that there were other higher rated versions, I would have bought one of those for more efficient filtering, but this one far exceeds the original.

For the unit I have it was impossible to find an after-market filter. The "hog hair" (believe that is the name)standard filter was pretty worthless. I have numerous allergies as does my son. The filter seems to be working great. A little difficult in installing, the dimensions do not seem exact.

Size of this filter was the most important feature, and I thought it would be a perfect fit based on the website information based on the ac/furnace model, but I had to scrunch it in to fit. Other than that, it was a good product for the price.

This is better than the hogshair filter that comes with blower. Just insert new filter and throw out old one!
