High Efficiency Filter Media for Aprilaire/Space-Gard 2200 / 2250 (2-Pack). Equivalent to OEM Part# 201 These expandable "accordian" style, replacement filters are made to fit the Aprilaire/Space-Gard Model 2200 and 2250 Air Cleaner. MERV 11 rated. They are non-OEM filters. The filters ship like a collapsed accordian and are expanded into a plastic frame within the air cleaner cabinet. The filter is snapped into the plastic frame and held in place with existing your pleat spacers (NOT INCLUDED). Assembly instructions are printed on the product carton. The air cleaner media in the Model 2200 can last from 6 months up to 2 years. If installed on a 5-ton system, in the presence of high concentration of particulate, or if the furnace fan is on continuously, it may be necessary to change the media more frequently. In any application, the life of the media is dependant upon the total volume of air being moved through it as well as the amount of particulate it is filtering. Delivered about two weeks ago. Of course, a filter's story is not over until it is changed out in a year or so, but this product was as described and fit well. It was easy to install into the frame and then back into the blower unit for our central H/VAC. So, time will tell how long it will last before needing to be changed again. The product description says 12-18 months. We have been in this house only a few short months and have never had this type filter before so we are looking forward to having more information about life-span of this brand.

These filters seem to fit and attach in the same manor as the original OEM filters, but at a reduced cost.
I have two of the Space-Gard units in my home and we change the filters once a year rather than trying
to blow them out with my shop compressor. The new filter is made from slightly less dense material than the
OEM, but I don't feel this is an issue in real world performance when compared to the "window screen" filters
used in most homes. I would buy them again.

Found it easiest to use one "comb" to sort the pleats, then insert 2nd "comb" next to it & slide it in place, then snap them into place on the unit. Took less than 15 minutes.
Lowest price I found online, not available at retailers in my area, except through special order from HVAC guys (who probably order it online, too.)

This is replacement filter for my a/c. When I first got the a/c, I paid the a/c co. $50 bucks for each filter. Then I ordered original filters from Iaqsource (2 for same price) and then the next year I tried the substitute for the factory filters,(2 for less than $30 bucks) and they perform great. Each time I have ordered from this company, it arrives [...] as advertised. I will continue to order from this company and recommend it to others.

The filters were no more or less involved to install than the OEM versions, but they're slightly smaller. I've noticed no lessening in effectiveness, however.

Although others have mentioned having issues with the glue spots, I found the filter easy to handle as long as I was careful with it. The entire installation took about 5 minutes.

This filtering system works great! I have used the Aprilaire System in my home for 2 years. I replace the filter media once a year.

Take care while installing the replacement filter in the cartridge as it would be easy to tear the filter media. Takes me about 15 minutes to replace.

In the past, I've purchased the slightly more expensive filters but decided that I'd try these cheaper ones. Bad move. One of the 2 filters came with holes in it and the filters have glue spots to ease in the installation but that end up proving to be annoying. IAQ was great in resolving my issue, but stick with the original filters and not these knock-offs.

Not impressed with design. Had filters papers glued together at top instead of string on original. Many of the glued pieces had come unglued. One edge ripped so it was difficult to install. Took twenty minutes to separate filter sleeves as opposed to ten for OEM filter. Don't think I will buy these again.

At first, the installation looked daunting as the number of "teeth" that are used to separate the filter made it look like it would take quite a long time. After installing the first one, the rest installed rather quickly. I installed them all in under 10 minutes.
