These filters were priced well and I will probably buy them again in two years. They fit fine, but were not as easy to handle as actual SpaceGuard filters. One of my two filters had an extra pleat, but it was easy enough to deal with extra. One thing I did not like were the glued points near the ends of each pleat. There was warning to not separate the glue points, but in one corner the glue pleats separated, leaving a hole...which I sealed.

This is a great air filter as it cleans the air well. Also, it has glue points between the pleats which make it easier to slip the glides into the proper chanels.
I change it every 6 months as it needs it due to our smoking.

I could not figure out exactly how to insert the combs back into the pleats which was not clear on the instructions. I did not know if I should of started the comb tooth insertion closer to the side or further away. Then I had more pleats than comb teeth. I finally just made a guess and hoped it would work properly. Otherwise it appeared to be like the more expensive brand.

Previous owner installed these filters, which adds a layer of complexity to routine maintenance, because they aren't widely available in stores + they are more expensive than standard filters. I was attracted to these replacement filters, because they were less expensive than what the HVAC companies have charged me in the past. I was initially taken aback when they arrived in collapsed form, but they actually ended up being easy to assemble and install, even for a non-handy person such as myself. I would buy them again.

The generic filter media form IAQ Source has a little higher static pressure and is not as easy to install as the media from Research Products. I'd use it again, as the price is right. I'll post again in a year as to whether it kept my evaporator coil clean.

I am pretty handy, but it took me a bit to figure out how to install the pleats in between the "teeth" of the "comb" that holds the filter media in place. I finally figured out the "combs" are removable and can be inserted all together in the pleats and then spread out and attached to the frame... You should have seen my attempts prior to figuring that out!

These replacment filter are OEM qulaity grade. The filter medium and construction are as good as the original at half the cost.
The cardboard tap that fits into the frame is slightly different (did not have locator cutout) but this is not a problem as long as the filter is centered properly.
Ea to install if your familier and have experience with a pleated filter/comb combination. If not, the first time is always a little challanging.
I would buy again.

We have been using this filter system for about 10 years. It keeps the entire system clean, no dirty vents or trunk lines. Delivered about two weeks ago. Of course, a filter's story is not over until it is changed out in a year or so, but this product was as described and fit well. It was easy to install into the frame and then back into the blower unit for our central H/VAC. So, time will tell how long it will last before needing to be changed again. The product description says 12-18 months. We have been in this house only a few short months and have never had this type filter before so we are looking forward to having more information about life-span of this brand.

These filters seem to fit and attach in the same manor as the original OEM filters, but at a reduced cost.
I have two of the Space-Gard units in my home and we change the filters once a year rather than trying
to blow them out with my shop compressor. The new filter is made from slightly less dense material than the
OEM, but I don't feel this is an issue in real world performance when compared to the "window screen" filters
used in most homes. I would buy them again.
