High Efficiency Filter Media for Aprilaire/Space-Gard 2200 / 2250 (2-Pack). Equivalent to OEM Part# 201 These expandable "accordian" style, replacement filters are made to fit the Aprilaire/Space-Gard Model 2200 and 2250 Air Cleaner. MERV 11 rated. They are non-OEM filters. The filters ship like a collapsed accordian and are expanded into a plastic frame within the air cleaner cabinet. The filter is snapped into the plastic frame and held in place with existing pleat spacers. Assembly instructions are printed on the product carton. The air cleaner media in the Model 2200 can last from 6 months up to 2 years. If installed on a 5-ton system, in the presence of high concentration of particulate, or if the furnace fan is on continuously, it may be necessary to change the media more frequently. In any application, the life of the media is dependant upon the total volume of air being moved through it as well as the amount of particulate it is filtering. This is replacement filter for my a/c. When I first got the a/c, I paid the a/c co. $50 bucks for each filter. Then I ordered original filters from Iaqsource (2 for same price) and then the next year I tried the substitute for the factory filters,(2 for less than $30 bucks) and they perform great. Each time I have ordered from this company, it arrives [...] as advertised. I will continue to order from this company and recommend it to others.

The filters were no more or less involved to install than the OEM versions, but they're slightly smaller. I've noticed no lessening in effectiveness, however.

Although others have mentioned having issues with the glue spots, I found the filter easy to handle as long as I was careful with it. The entire installation took about 5 minutes.

In the past, I've purchased the slightly more expensive filters but decided that I'd try these cheaper ones. Bad move. One of the 2 filters came with holes in it and the filters have glue spots to ease in the installation but that end up proving to be annoying. IAQ was great in resolving my issue, but stick with the original filters and not these knock-offs.

Not impressed with design. Had filters papers glued together at top instead of string on original. Many of the glued pieces had come unglued. One edge ripped so it was difficult to install. Took twenty minutes to separate filter sleeves as opposed to ten for OEM filter. Don't think I will buy these again.
