This is my second Spac-Gard. I had one in my previous home and it was great so I wanted one in my new home. No problems. Change it once a year and no worry as to will I break any wires etc.
New furnace, I would put one in for sure.

Ecological - You only replace the Filter Media, not the Filter Frame, thereby saving space in the landfill.

Filters for my unit were not available through Big Box stores, had to go back to the HEVAC contractor who installed the air cleaning unit. These are the exact same quality as sold locally but at 1/2 the price.

The filter lasts about a year. "Assembly" of the new filter is pretty straightforward. Plan on spending five minutes or so changing the old for the new.

This filter does a good job of trapping all dust and hair.
However, find a good online place to order them. They aren't avialible from Walmart or Lowes and a HVAC pro will charge you $60 to change a $20 filter.
Also, don't try to clean them. They rip if you try to vacuum them.

In only 5 minutes, I had the used filter removed and replaced. Filter frame readily opens for filter R&R. Some caution must be used when hooking filter fabric over tabs at edge of frame.
