The only reason I came to this website to buy this filter is because I couldn't seem to find one anywhere. I was very excited to see that this was truly the product I've been looking for. My husband and I have been searching hardware stores,[...]and also the Carrier website looking for the right filter. We had already bought, on the basis of recommendations, the wrong sized filter several times. We were slightly worried that this might be more of the same, but we had basically come to a dead end here (where we live). This filter was just the right size and exactly what we've been looking for. We haven't tried to clean it yet, but the filter that came with our unit was made just like this one and it could be a pain to wash down. For this reason we went ahead and bought 2 that we will rotate to give us more time for cleaning.

Just not as effective as a pleated filter. Within 3 months of installing, coils were so clogged with fine dust I had to shut her down an clean her out with coil cleaner and water. Filter didn't have any dirt in it at all. You could poor vegetable soup through this thing and not catch a thing.
