The nominal dimensions are 20x25x5 in but the actual dimensions are bigger so the filters did not fit my system,[...] While the website listing does include the actual dimensions, a special warning here would help - such as "Check your system dimensions!"

It is the exact same filter I received from my installer. It is an OK filter but I guess I was expecting more[...]Well after 6 months I had not seen a visual difference. I ordered this filter hoping that maybe because it was a brand new install ( I replaced my ducts also) that there may be some residual dust in the unit and duct work. Well it has been 3 weeks and my wife and myself have not noticed any decreased dust in our home. I may be blind to facts but I thought with a filter of this thickness 5" (MERV 11) it should perform slightly better than my old 1" MERV 11 in dust containment.

How do you judge a furnace filter? It fits. It lasts a long time. My furnace guy said these thick filters actually work better as they accumulate dust - who knew?
