You CANNOT buy this filter at any home improvement store it is special order or call a Trane Dealer. Cost is more that way than with iaqsource.

I agree with a couple of other user comments that these filters need your full attention to install. Poked my finger during install, but I could have been more careful and wore gloves. Filters were exact match as my old filter- plus saved me a service call to the original installer. A+ This is where my filters will come from. Excellent quality.

Used this as an exact replacement filter. Very good quality, just a bit hard to install. You just need to pay attention to removal so you can fit it in correctly upon installation. Local A/C suppliers would not sell it directly to home owners, would only sell to A/C installers.

This is the first time I installed the filter. I had a continuous problem with the thin wire screening catching the filter material...making
insertion into the V's unreasonally difficult.
However...having said that...now that I know what to expect when I replace the filter I'll accept the problem and hope the manufacturer will improve
on the screening design.

Does a great job of filtering the air and lasts. The only drawback is that it is a little difficult to install the "accordian-like" filter into the filter cradle. However, on my second filter replacement, it was easier once I developed a type of technique. Overall, a good product at a reasonable price.

one side latched correctly, the other side was a different story. The holes were not punched all the way through, easy fix, but it wasn't any fun to discover this while in the hot summer attic.
Otherwise a good filter, and be sure to change it at least once every 6mo.
