Product installed and working well. Didn't encounter any of the problems related in some other reviews (leaks, poor fit, unable to install, etc). I followed the instructions, and had no problems. One thing, though, an index mark to line up with the housing in the refrigerator would have been handy...certainly not a show-stopper!

I didn't realize how dirty my old filter was until i changed it. I ran 10 glasses of water through after and it was yellow! The new filter then kicked in and water was nice and clear!

Purchased a 3-pack. Have only tried the first of three, but this filter did not fit easily like the original GE MWF filter. It also seems to be more restrictive than the original and prone to trap air within the system causing partial fills of the ice tray and making ice production slower, even after a month of use. Jury is still out until I've used the other two samples.

Product works perfectly. Our town has terrible water and it tastes fine through the filter. Would be helpful to have a small arrow indicator to show how it goes in, without it, it took an extra minute since I did not want to push too hard until I was sure it was lined up correctly. Not a big deal, just would be easier with it.

Getting a replacement filter always leaves me wondering if it will perform as well as the manufacturer's filters. I was far more impressed with the AquaFresh. The AquaFresh water tastes nearly as good as distilled water and completely removes the chlorine taste and bad odd taste from our tap water. Putting that cup into the door, I get water and ice that taste spring fresh. Something the original GE filter never, ever did.

It was easy to remove original and replace. It took more time to move the items on the refrigerator shelf to get to the filter than removing and replacing with the AquaFilter. You should not require a visit to the Emergency Room when you are completed.

I formerly used the GE replacement filter. It came with a list of specifications indicating the percentage of the contaminants it removed. The AquaFresh is lacking in this respect, so there really is no way to compare it with the GE. The water flow is superior to the GE. and the price is lower, but that isn't enough to call it a better filter. I'll have to do some research before I am sure the two filters are comparable.

These filters don't remove the sodium from the water like the GE filters did. There is a salty taste to the water that wasn't there even with the old GE filter. We will be switching back to GE when it is time to change.

As simple as changing a lightbulb, these filters are now supplying good fresh water and will allow us to discontinue the bad habit of purchasing overpriced bottled water which only contributed to the increasing burden of the landfill problems. And the bonus is that the AquaFresh replacement filter is about one half the cost of the original filter.

Like some people, we seem to forget to change the filter on the refrigerator as often as it should. The main reason, mainly is the cost of the filters and having to remember to stop and pick one up. The price of these filters is certainly affordable. The performance actually seems improved from the filter that was there before. And the water tastes great.

At first the filter had an unusual taste to it however after using it for a couple of weeks it has changed, apparently the filter medium that is used. Also the flow is not as good as the GE brand that I have purchased in the past. Overall it works fine and is less expensive. Again you get what you pay for however in this ecomomy I would recommend it.

This was our second order for filters for a refrigerator freezer. Every one has lasted at least four months. We are very pleased with the Filter-Outlet.com's product we use. This is the second time I've purchased the 3 pack of these filters. They are much cheaper than the brand name recommended and they function exactly the same. The only negative is the life span of the filters. They recommend changing them every 6 months but at 3-4 months, the water is coming out very slowly indicating that they are pretty plugged up. However, this also indicates they are doing a great job. I'm very satisfied with the filters and the competitive price.

Just a little different than the GE filter and so does not open the rubber valve allowing water to flow into the filter. As a result water pushes out of seals and all over the fridge. That makes these filters pure junk!

This filter is easy to install and fits just like the name brand. Initially the water had a charcoal taste and it took about 4-5 days for it and the air bubbles to work their way out. The water tasted much better after that and I would say this filter provides taste pretty darn close to the name brand. Overall a great value.

installed in GE refrigerator - easy to install but leaks continually. Had to place bowl under filter to catch leakage. Flow to water spigot stopped and making ice intermittently. Reinstalled several times to no avail. Not satisfactory at all.

I installed the filter about a month ago to my refrigerator water dispenser. Installed in less than a minute with no leaks or other problems. 3 item package. I find no cons to this product. The quality of the water output (taste, odor, volume, rate,..) is equal to if not better than more expenseive name brand filters. Excellent across the board. Easy to install. I get more quality performance product for less money than other competitors.

I bought the replacement filter for GE MWF SmartWater refrigerator filter because of decent reviews and lower cost. I was first concerned when filling the filter with water seemed to take an inordinate length of time (water didn't seemed to flow into the filter freely). Then when I tried to place the filter, the fit was very tight that I was afraid I was going to break the part in my refrig. that the filter attached to. Most importantly, there was no water flow through the filter and out the water dispenser once attached in place, even after multiple manipulations and reattempts. I ended up returning the package of three filters, being unwilling to open a second filter for fear of same result.

The weight of this is much lighter than the GE MWF. So it may not be removing as much stuff from the water. I don't care about removing anything from the water except the chlorine and bad taste. This does it. I believe it is probrably no more that a canister with charcoal in it and works like a fish tank filter. However, I am completely satisfied with the taste and flow rate. I would buy these again.

We were appalled by the taste of our water coming from our refrigerator after we had a water softening system installed. We swapped our old GE filter for one of these, and the water quality is as good as bottled water! We now use the water from the refrigerator filter for ice, tea, coffee, and all cooking.

I have used filters from GE and Brita. Both were more expensive, but the quality is the same. If you want the same quality for a lower price, I recommend WaterSentinel.

This was the first time I bought a non-manufacturing water filter replacement, but the savings were great so I decided to give it a try. If you want a bargain, look no further. Buying a 3 pack of fridge filters is the true bargain. I have found none cheaper. If you break it down, you are spending much less than buying bottled water. The Water Sentinel Replacement filters work like a charm and provide great tasting water.

I cannot comment on how good the product is. The filter did not work in our GE refrigerator, even though these were meant to work in this model. It was very easy to install, though.

Replacement seems to work as well as the original equipment GE brand in my fridge. Initially this filter was a bit noisy, but that cleared up once the bubbles were out of the line - may be the same regardless of which filter. Water tastes clean and ice too. Time yet will tell, but after two weeks I'd say this is a good value.
