Pick a different filter - Brita must stand for "Black Rocks In The Aqua". I had to flush over 5 gallons of water through this filter before the black carbon would no longer be visible in my drinking glass - even after that, I suspect there is still carbon in my drinking water, but I just can't see it floating on top like it was. I picked Brita because of the name - next time, I won't.
