Installed just like the GE filter it replaced. The old GE filters (GWF) lasted quite a while, The new ones (MWF) only seemed to last a month or so. The new brita filter is doing well after a few weeks, no sulfer taste.

I have been using the Brita substitute filter in my refrigerator for over a year and have not noticed any difference from the original GE filter. I perceive installation, performance and durability to be exactly the same as the original filter. I have recommended this filter to family and friends.

It was nice to get three filters for an appreciable discount over buying them one at a time. I have used Brita filters in the past for their water pitchers, and always found them to work well in producing better tasting water than straight out of the tap. And I drink a lot of water.

I shopped extensively both in stores and on-line comparing refrigerator water filters. I was surprised to discover the over-all-cost of replacing the filter [i.e. I wasn't expecting them to be so costly], so I shopped ever so diligently, until I found your website [...] The quality of the filter is great - well worth the buy. I haven't discovered any negative aspects of the product. Brita is one of the top brands of filters.I usually shop for well known brand items; but look for the best price as well.

I bought the Brita replacement filter to try it out to save a few bucks. Turns out that the taste is great and I haven't noticed any difference in installation, pour, etc... since using the GE filter.

I found Filter-out.com doing an Internet search for replacements of my GE Profile refrigerator's water filter. Originally went with GE brand. Pricing good on box of three, but got reminder notice from filter-outlet re: the Brita. Great price, great brand and the water from the frig (via tap) is actually drinkable! No hesitation from supplier or this product.

Best if changed about once/year regardless of how many gallons have passed through. I save all the old filters in hopes that some day someone will offer a refill cartridge service similar to inkjet cartridges for printers...hope I'm right! LOL

I noticed a drastic drop in water flow rate. The first time I installed it, it did not trip the mechanism that enables the water to flow. After taking it off and reinstalling, it worked like a champ. The taste is much better than the factory GE filter that came with the fridge. It does take a bit longer to fill a cup now. A+

I was a little concerned when I learned that the original GE filter was no longer available. I am happy to say that the Brita replacement fits perfectly and works well.
Awesome filters for awesome price. The pour is a little sluggish compared to the original GE filters but I saved at least[$]each filter so what a deal. Thank you [@]

This replacement filter for the standard GE fit perfectly, and produced good, clean water right from the start, no extended break-in needed.
The only caution is that you must fill the filter before attaching. If you don't, you will experience a period of reduced flow. To their credit, Brita does include this in the documentation.
Great value, especially in comparison to the OEM part.

The 3 pack I got was just like the one I bought at [...] for a lot more money. Only issue I have is there are 3 different sets of instructions: on filter, on box, on fold-down box flap. After initial install, it made noises and gurgled. Took it off & found bubbles coming up in water so jiggled them out, made sure filter was full and reinstalled. Must read all 3 instructions to get this: fill filter with water (remove any bubbles), line up filter arrow with front arrow on insert site, screw it in, discard about 10 glasses of water. Some sputtering in first 3 minutes normal but not as much as I had. Oh, when I removed new filter it almost blew off in hand, due to air pressure I guess. After a couple of hours now it hasn't blown up and water flow is good (not real fast but good enough). So far so good! [...]

Replaced the GE water filter with these filters. They are by far superior to the GE filter because the GE filters clog quickly and start loosing the water pressure quickly.
After 3 weeks of use these filters have the same water pressure coming out and the water tastes great. Never go back to GE.
