I use this filter in my fridge which has an automatic water/icer in the door. I researched the internet for this same product and found them to be the cheapest and quickest. Since they are the same quality as Brita, and I don't notice a difference from the real one, I decided to keep using them. My water tastes clean and fresh every time.

I use the Brita Water Filter to replace the original G.E. water filter in my refrigerator. It was simple to install and although I only have it a short period of time, the water tastes as pure as it did with my original G.E. filter. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Easy installation, great tasting water. The only downside would be the short life span but to be honest, I replace at the suggested intervals but there is absolutely no detectable decrease in water quality and taste (to me) after several months of regular use in a family of 5 16 yrs and up. These filters deliver!

I have not noticed any difference from the GE filter I replaced. Other comments stated the Brita filter was the best ever, noticed my ice cubes were clear now... I have not noticed any change. However, the Brita filters were less expensive and with that said, no change is good. At least the water tastes the same..

We moved into our home about a year ago and honestly didn't even think about the water we were getting out of the refrigerator dispenser. I asked my hubby one day to please get me a glass of water and he got it from the tap, I asked him if he would please get it from the refrigerator - he said "why, we haven't changed the filter since we moved in, the water tastes the exact same" - I didn't even think about that, but he was right. I wasn't sure about ordering these or the GE filters, but I really like brita water so we got these and I have to tell you, I am so glad we did. Our water tastes 100 times better and our ice is no longer cloudy - I am completely disgusted thinking just what we were drinking before - kind of gross, but it really did make all of the difference - these filters [...] are easy to install and make a huge difference! Thanks!

Excellent product, went with Brita name vs. OEM to save and based on taste from using water pitcher products previously. I know there was another option to save $10.00 more but I did not want to chance it. *Make sure you cycle the water for 3-5 minutes as instructed or you will taste the charcole filtration. You have to break it in, so grab a big pitcher and recycle the water used during the initial 3-5 minutes in you garden/plants/lawn.

Installation as simple as the factory product. I would have liked to see a spot to write in a change date or perhaps stickers to indicate when it is time to change. I don't believe the GE filters have them either however.
Water dispenses slightly slower with this filter versus the factory one, but not significantly so.
Taste of filtered water and ice are not noticeably different between the two filters.
Would buy again if priced cheaper than the GE part.

Replaced original factory filter at time interval with Brita filter following the Brita instructions and no leaks and actually have better delivery of water than with original factory filter. No difference in taste, but really like the extra flow of water.

The only problem with the product was the supply of water. After only about 1-1/2 months the supply was reduced from normal to a trickle. This has happened to 2 cartridges in a row. Possibly a bad batch? I have not had any problems prior to this. The others lasted almost 6 months before having to be replaced.

After years of using the ridiculously expensive GE filters I decided to try the Brita. I'm very pleased and won't go back to the GE filters. I did read there was a problem with reduced flow but I have not found that to be the case. It works great! I highly recommend these filters!

The Brita line of filters is a smart alternative to typical manufacture-brand filters because Brita specializes solely in water filtration; water is its forte. Granted, manufacture filters (from the likes of G.E. and Whirlpool) are reliable, but unfortunately manufactured out of necessity and not because they have an interest in providing purified water. Thank you Brita and filter-outlet for providing options to the consumers. Thanks also for providing selection, convenience, and low prices.

I have GE refrig and bought these because they were less expensive than the GE replacements. They don't work very well, the water tricles out and it takes forever to fill up your glass. Spend the extra$ and buy the actual GE MWF replacement.

We're on a well with some iron so a filter is important. The water tastes good with the Brita filter but the pressure is 1/2 of what it was with OEM filter. I bought three so I'll have to live with it awhile. I tried to save a few bucks, but I'd rather have my pressure back, so next time I'll buy the OEM instead.

The product is the same as the other expensive filters but this came in the 3 pack and was the most economical choice vs others. It was the cheapest I could find and in fact works better than previous GE filters. Water comes out better, tastes better. No issues at all. Don't know about the longevity of the filter yet, still new.

this is my first filter replacement and i couldn't have been more satisfied with the overall experience, both with product and service. while i can't comment on the longevity of these Britas compared to the OEM GE filters quite yet, the most noticeable difference is that the flowrate out of the water dispenser in the fridge is drastically improved!prior to the "change filter" light on the fridge coming on, the water dispenser output had gotten to where it barely trickled, and i also had noticed that my ice cubes kept getting smaller and smaller. i was worried that the fridge was just cheap junk, but apparently it was just the old (less than a year) filter getting clogged up.as soon as i installed the Brita, the flowrate was faster and stronger than i'd ever remembered, and my ice cubes returned to normal size.[...].thanks!

We purchased this as a replacement for the GE filters that we have used since we bought the refrigerator. The price [...]were very good. The filter itself was very hard to turn onto the adapter. Even my husband tried and finally the third time it turned to where it was supposed to. We thought we had turned it 90 degrees, but it wasn't and the water wouldn't come out the dispenser. After removing it twice, we got the wrench out and it turned further with the wrench. Since then, we have been pleased. It was never that hard to attach the GE filters, but the Brita ones work fine now that they have been attached.

Installed easily and correctly, and works great compared to the original GE filters. Much cheaper, too. Only complaint is it took a couple of days to clear all of the air out the line and the filter, which resulted in the water dispenser spurting out water at times.

We needed a replacement for the original filter that came with the fridge. We had no complaints with the original, but I wanted to find the best deal for replacements and ending up choosing the Brita. It seems to work at least as well as the original filter, which is all I can ask for. The 3-pack should last me a full year or more, so it is one less thing to worry about.
Delivery was prompt and everything arrived in great condition. Installed one filter right away and put the other two in storage.

Great tasting water but the filter doesn't last as long as the GE brand so the filter ends up costing more. My GE filters last on average 4-5 months. The Brita, less than two. Very disappointed.

This is the first time I've used the Brita replacement for the GE filters. Water quality is very good. Taste is excellent.
The one issue I encountered was that it took a considerable amount of time for the water flow to become as strong as with the GE filters. Within one day, however, all was fine.

It fits and no leaks, nothing to worry about. Make sure you turn off the water to the fridge first and fill the unit with water prior to installing. 3 pack is very convenient and a good value

Bought these to replace our GE fridge filter. The water tastes much better now. The only caveat is that the water flow appears to come out slower than it did with the OEM filter. A small price to pay for better filtrated good tasting water, but nevertheless noticeable. I plan to use all three of my filters and will order then again, come time.
I wish there was a way to recycle these items. It seems like a substantial waste to toss these into the trash.

The filter was a great replacement, but the installation was a little touchy. I had some issues with was the alignment of the threads. It could have been user error, but when I first connected it, the filter threads apparently didn't fully engage. The result was a lot of pressure on the cartridge and very low water pressure at the spigot.
Removing the filter and carefully replacing it with a lot of upward force fixed everything. Then I just had to mop up the water all over the inside of the fridge :-)
Service / delivery was awesome. The filters arrived within 2 days of placing the order!

Regarding this product, it works but seems to be a little more restrictive than the OEM filter it replaces. Water flow is slower. Otherwise, everyhting else with the filter is fine.

First use after install, water flow may slow. Unscrew it to release air, then screw it back in. Works perfectly!
I've read the "low flow" comment in a few places. It's an installation issue, not a product issue.

We were purchasing the GE brand filter but decided to try the Brita from Filter-Outlet. The price was way lower than the GE brand but works as well, if not better, than the original. We're good for 18 months, but we'll be back.

Filter does the job but does not fit as good as OEM filter. Took a long, long time for the air to purge out of filter during installation. Good buy though from a well know water filtration company!!!!

This refrigerator water filter does what it is designed to do without leaking. Not sure how great it filters at the microscopic level but it is simple to install and replace.

I use these to replace my GE stock filter. The water tastes great and installation was a breeze. The only drawback so far has been that the flow is a bit slower (takes longer to fill a glass) than the stock GE filter. Otherwise a great product.

I've used Brita Pitcher Water filters before. Replacing filters require to toss out the first couple of batches of water. Surprisingly, the fridge version however does not according to the instructions. Just plug it in and drink away.
This is the first filter I'm using on this fridge but I notice the water flow seems slow. Can't tell if it is the fault of the filter or the fridge.

No problems. Easy to install. Works fine as a replacement.
It took approximately 10 days to receive the product using the free shipping option. I could see that it sat in the FedEx distribution center in Phoenix for about 5 of those days before it was handed off to the USPS. However, I didn't have a filter emergency and expected it to take longer since the shipping was free. If I had paid for the shipping I would probably been more annoyed.

This Brita was used as a replacement for the OEM General Eelctric filter. It was a better price than the GE filter available locally or on the internet. I have had other Brita water filtration systems that were good so I was comfortable making the switch. It installed easily and seems to be doing the job (although we have only had it for a month)
