I was going to purchase a new expensive LG refrigerator. Luckily I found the price of their filter first. This is like buying ink for your printer. They give you the printer if you buy the ink. They should give you the refrigerator if you buy the very expensive filters.

We bought our LG french door SS refrigerator last June after we moved to our new construction home. The water from the refrigerator tasted great for the first 4 months and then we got a very noticeable plastic taste to it. These filters are supposed to last 6 months so I thought maybe it's something in the refrigerator water lines. I went to the local hardware store to pick up a replacement filter thinking I would get one for about [$]to [$]...boy did I get sticker shock. I've been having good luck finding deals on-line so decided to search around. Filter Outlet had the best price if you buy 3 and best of all free shipping. I ended up buying a case of 3M filters for my furnace as well which including shipping was still cheaper than the local big chain hardware store. The new water filter did the trick and we are now back to drinking water from our Mercedes of a fridge. Now I have 2 back-ups and won't have to procrastinate almost 6 months before drinking water from our fridge again. hopefully this filter will last closer to 6 months.
