Had hoped to screw the new bottom into an existing top with the same model number, but the new filter housing is larger, so had to disconnect the plumbing and connect the new housing. But no big deal, and everything is new and working great.

Moved into new home and prev owners had let filter go too long - it was brown inside, and ice tasted bad. Changing the filter solved everything.

The filters arrived very quickly and was easy to install once we figured out to put the filter in the "lid" and screw the lid on vs attaching the filter then screwing the lid on. I'm very happy with this product and will continue to use them for refills.

With first use I noticed an increase in the flow rate and a decrease in taste. The cost savings probably comes at the expense of filtering capacity in the WaterSentinel filter. Next time I will pay the money for the recommended brand name filter.

Used this to replace the factory-filter in my Kenmore fridge for the first time. I had no problems and the water tastes great. We had to run the water for a bit to soak the filter. That water looked cloudy at first--but it was just all the tiny bubbles that made it look that way. Once the filter ran for a few minutes, we had no problems.

The filter was just like the one from the factory that came with the fridge. Upon replacement the water was a little bubbly at first but after a week or so, it went back to normal and the water and ice tastes great.

It took a while to clear the filter. I had to run 2 or 3 gallons before water came out clear. After that the filter worked like a charm.

Water taste isn't bad, but not amazing either. I have a pitcher filter (different brand) and I think it tastes a little better. But I still think this is a good product and would purchase again.

The WaterSentinel product seems to be an adequate replacement filter. It does the job and that's really all it needs to do. The O-Ring is a little less of a gauge that the original manufacturer, but it hasn't caused any problems so far. I did keep an old ring just in case. [...]

I hadn't replaced my fridge filter at all and the fridge came with the house I purchased two years ago. The fridge water was cloudy and my ice cubes would disappear quickly. After replacing my filter and running the water for about a quart, my water tastes great and my ice looks clear and doesn't evaporate.

Filter seems fine, but gasket ring is too thin. Leaked water like crazy. Had to put my old ring back on.

The quality of the filter seems excellent and filters the chlorine taste out of the water. However, the replacement gasket that came with the filter is thinner than the original. It wouldn't seal and I had to go with the original, thicker gasket. The package came with some kind of silicone goop to put with the thin gasket but I didn't want to spread that stuff everywhere.

The filers are much less expensive than the original equipment replacement filter. These filters included lubricant and O ring to re-install. I have used the filter for about a month and it is performing flawlessly. I will definitely purchase this filter again.
