The 4396508 filter is used for Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Sears/Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators with turn access through the front base grille. It does a great job of reducing chlorine taste and odor, particulates, lead, mercury and more. It also retains beneficial fluoride. This model is NSF certified which ensures consumers they are drinking clean, safe water. Make sure to replace your filter every 6 months. Installation Instructions: Filter is located in the base grille. To change the filter make one quarter turn to the left. Pull old filter out, replace with a new Whirlpool Ice and Water Filter. Specifications: 4396508- REFRIGERATOR FILTER Replacement Cartridge NL240V for Filter Model WF-Nl240V. Replacement Cartridge L400V for Filter Model WF-L400V. Operating Parameters: Temperature: Min. 33° F (.6° C) Max. 100° F (37° C) Working Pressure: Min. 30 psi (207 k Pa) Max. 120 psi (827 k Pa) Flow Rate: 0.5 gpm (1.89 Lpm) *This is a mechanical and chemical reduction filter. Reduces: Chlorine taste and odor Particulate Lead Mercury Benzene P-Dichlorobenzene Toxaphene Carbofuran The contaminants removed or reduced are not necessarily in all users' water. Leaves fluoride in your drinking water! Tested and certified by NSF International in models WF-NL240V et WF-L400V against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine Taste and Odor and Nominal Particulate Reduction Class II; and against NSF/ANSI Standard 53 for the reduction of Lead, Mercury, Benzene, p-Dichlorobenzene, Toxaphene, and Carbofuran. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
