I'm not terribly handy, but punching out the water inlet and screwing it in place were all that was required. Oh, and plugging it in. It came with a lot of adapters for compatibility, but it was a drop-in replacement for our freezer.

The first ice maker I received did not work. I contacted SUPCO tech support directly. After following all the troubleshooting suggestions, it still did not work. At that time the SUPCO technician (James Berry) immediately offered to send me another one free of charge (without having to return the faulty item). [...]This one WORKS PERFECT! I highly recommend this great company.

I have a Maytag refrigerator with an in-freezer ice maker. It has been replaced once before ( refrig is 6 years old, so they tend to last 3 years. Last time I bought the replacement from the Maytag dealer and it was about $100. This time, I was quoted $163 for the part. I went online and found this replacement for about $62. Easy to install (I also installed the last one) and it works great. If there is one drawback it is that the wire shut off bail doesn't accomodate the plastic extension that the Maytag bail used. When it gets too full, I simply turn it off by moving the bail by hand.

The kit made replacing the original ice maker a snap. The old one was out and the new one in place in less than 15 minutes.

It did take a day or so for the ice harvest to kick in gear. At first I thought maybe I had a dud, but once the ice maker started producing ice, I've had no problems.

I purchased this icemaker as a replacement for our Kenmore Coldspot refrigerator. It was very easy to install, and came with all the necessary parts needed.

the instructions were simple and helped make it a painless installation! The only thing that would've helped a bit more was if there was mention what default setting the fill valve is at. That is the only reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5.

direct replacement for my Kenmore Side by side. had it up and running in 30 minutes. Helpful to have a level to keep water from overflowing in the back.( I have my fridge tilted back so doors will close automatically.)
Its been 2 weeks since install and so far, I have a full ice bin with no problems.
